It's occurred to me, that I only really talk about movies and music on this blog. While not a bad thing, this is called "One Man's Opinion On (Almost) Everything", so it's only fitting I try out something else. I have found a random personality quiz online, via www.powerofpositivity.com that you can find right here.
1. What's your life motto or philosophy you live by?
Anything can be good, you just have to give it a chance. Be it movies, music, books, meeting new people, getting a new job, moving to a new state, etc, even if it's something that has the negative prospect of being bad, you still have to go in with a positive attitude and manage to find the good in something. Unless it's "Transformers: The Last Knight", then there's nothing good about that.
2. What's your favorite thing about yourself?
This is a tough one, mainly because people seem fascinated by the person I am. Am I unique? I don't exactly know. I'm told I walk a lot, so that's something, but the feeling of accomplishment I get whenever a huge task or story is completed, now that's what I like.
3. Do you follow religion or spiritual practice?
I am something that I like to call a "Basic Christian". This means that, while I do believe in God and I do believe in such a thing as Heaven, I'm not too interested in learning about the particulars of religion or reading the stories about it. Not that there's anything wrong with people who choose to do that, that's just not what I do.
4. What was the best time of your life?
Anytime I spend time with my grandmother. It makes me feel like I'm 6 years old, spending the weekends over at her house and watching TV. I don't know, sometimes you need to feel that warm fuzziness of being a kid again.
5. What was the worst thing that ever happened to you?
I was, unfortunately, the victim of heavy bullying throughout school. Now I can handle light teasing, in fact, I welcome it, because I know that the people doing it mean well and are willing to have a nice moment. Middle school is where it started out and continued throughout high school. High school wasn't as bad as middle school, but it still continued. I don't understand why people do this, there's really nothing to gain from it. It made me feel hopeless, but every school has a bundle of people who think they're better than everyone. In reality, they aren't.
6. What's your biggest dream?
Being involved in movies, somehow. Even if I just have to hold a microphone over actor speaking, I can point out my name in the end credits.
7. What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I was obsessed with the "Herbie" movies when I was little. In "Herbie: Fully Loaded", Lindsay Lohan somehow trick Herbie out to be qualified for a Nascar race. During the viewing of this particular scene, I decided, right then and there, that I wanted to be a racecar driver. Now? Eh. BUT, I still want a Volkswagen beetle designed like Herbie.
8. What was/is your biggest accomplishment?
I guess making people laugh. Be it one person or a crowd of people. If I can bring joy to people for just a few moments, that makes me happy.
9. Why do you think we're all here?
This is a very deep question. I personally think that we are all here to help serve a purpose. Even if it's just for one person, you're serving a purpose. What that purpose is is up to that person to discover for themselves.
10. What is your best relationship?
That would have to be my grandmother, again. I don't know, she's just someone that's very easy to communicate with and be around. I could've done without the bi-weekly shopping trip to Marc's, though...
11. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Less hate and fewer mean-hearted people. As a victim of people that had hate in their body, It's absolutely devastating to me to see the amount of hate going on today. It sickens me. I just wish that people could learn to open up more and be kinder. That's all I want.
12. Do you like your job? If not, what would you like to do instead?
I work in retail, so the answer is a resounding "no". As stated in #6's answer, I'd really just like to work in movies. There's really not much else to say.
13. What are your favorite hobbies?
Writing and movie watching/critiquing.
14. If money was no object, what would you do in life?
Make sure money was set aside for bills and then buy expensive presents for everyone in my life.
15. Have you ever broken someone's heart?
I hope I haven't and I hope I don't. I believe I have a solid foundation and a very good relationship with almost everyone in my life. Trust me, if I don't like you, I won't hide it. Almost everyone I've met are kind, well-spirited people, so I think everyone's hearts are intact.
16. What are you thankful for?
That the people I do have good relationships with are very understanding people and that they truly believe in me and can help me if I'm having nay kind of problems.
17. What do you wish people understood more about you?
I'm not too sure, actually. That's a good question, I just don't really know what the answer is.
18. If you could turn back time and do anything differently, would you?
I wouldn't, simply because humans make mistakes and you have to learn from them. I also wouldn't go back and un-meet anyone or undo something I've done. Maybe somebody else would, but that's just not me.
19. What's the craziest, or most exciting thing you've ever done?
Jet-skiing, because going fast on those things is so much fun.
20. What do you think about most often?
I'm pretty much a forward-thinking person, meaning I just think about what's on my plate for the next day or two and that's about it.
So that's it for this one. I had fun doing this. I plan to do another one in the future. Maybe do a quiz out of Cosmopolitan magazine and see if I can make it funny.
